Charges are based on usage. Each charging station offers periodic promotions. For the most accurate rates, please check the station details in the app.

How to start charging?

Are adapters provided on-site?

All charging stations are equipped with a standard Type2 adapter. If your vehicle requires a different type, please bring your own adapter!

What are Charging specifications?

Our stations primarily offer AC 7kW/11kW (charges 7kWh/11kWh per hour). For a 7kw charger, the range added per hour is approximately 40 km. For an 11kw charging, the range added per hour is approximately 60 km.

I haven't received the verification email or SMS?

First, check your spam folder. If it's not there, contact Cha-Cha Charging Australia customer service for assistance. Sometimes, the verification code SMS may fail to send due to poor mobile signal. Please ensure you are in an area with adequate signal when requesting the verification code. Alternatively, wait for 1 minute and try again. If you still haven't received the code, please contact Cha-Cha Charging Australia's customer service for assistance.

Is it safe to charge during rainy weather?

EVs and our charging stations are designed to withstand rain and moisture. Each charging station is equipped with voltage and overcurrent protection, and designed to be waterproof and dustproof, meeting IP65 standards:

IP6X: Indicates that the charging station is completely dustproof, preventing dust from entering.

IPX5: Indicates that the charging station can withstand low-pressure water jets.

Is there a risk of electric shock when using the charging station?

The charging stations are equipped with cable connection monitoring and automatic voltage adjustment to ensure safety before charging begins. They also feature leakage protection, overheating protection, and short-circuit protection, similar to household appliances, automatically cutting off power in the event of a leakage.

What are Safety standards of Chargers?

Complies with the RCM (Regulatory Compliance Mark), indicating that the product meets all applicable safety, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and radio communication requirements in Australia and New Zealand.

How to start charging if there is no mobile signal?
After scanning the code, first connect the charging cable to the vehicle, then move to an area with a signal to start the charging process.
What if I can't disconnect the charging cable after charging?
Try unlocking the vehicle first to release the cable, or press the emergency button on the charging station. If the issue persists, please contact our customer service.

Where can I see the charging status?

Go to Cha-Cha Charging Australia App → Account→ Charging Record → Activity to view the charging status.

Why is the actual charging output less than the standard output?

The charging station may automatically adjust the output based on the grid load. This could be due to using an adapter, which limits the output to the maximum efficiency of the adapter, insufficient local power supply, or the vehicle automatically reducing charging power to protect the battery under extreme battery temperatures.

Will there be an idle fee if the charging spot is occupied after the charging stops?

Each site may vary; details are provided in the app. Generally, there is a 10-minute grace period, after which a fee may be charged for prolonged occupation.

Is there a parking fee while charging?
Cha-Cha Charging Australia does not charge any additional parking fees. Parking fees are collected by the site owner according to the local rules, and any such fees will be noted in the app.
